We are extremely proud of our modern facility and our team of experienced doctors and staff. With a large number of doctors on staff we are able to provide you with many dental care specialties in one office. We offer preventative, restorative, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, implant dentistry, root canal therapy, and child dentistry. Having opened in 1980, we have over twenty-seven years of experience in the area. Most importantly, we are very excited about the many new young doctors we have recently added to our staff.

Dr. Sean W. Cullinan, D.M.D.
General Dentist

Dr. Sean Cullinan assumed ownership of the Family Dental Center in 2008. He is a 2006 graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. His philosophy of care is to provide high quality dentistry, incorporating the latest dental technologies, in a friendly and comfortable environment. Dr. Cullinan has taken advanced continuing education courses in cosmetic dentistry (porcelain veneers, porcelain inlays/onlays, all ceramic crowns), orthodontics (Invisalign certified), and endodontics. He grew up in Glenview and is a graduate of Loyola Academy. Continuing his Jesuit education experience, Dr. Cullinan completed his bachelor’s degree at College of the Holy Cross, in Worcester, MA. As part of a medical team composed of physicians, dentists, optometrists and nurses from around the country, Dr. Cullinan participates in annual medical mission trips to third world countries. In April 2006, he traveled to Bonteheuwel, South Africa, treating the medical and dental needs of hundreds of impoverished people there. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys travelling, the outdoors, fishing, reading, and the Bears! The highlight of 2010 for Dr. Cullinan is his October wedding in Buenos Aires. He is dedicated to his profession and hopes to help you with your dental needs.

Dr. Antonia Petrosino
Pediatric Dentistry/Orthodontia

Dr. Antonia Petrosino was born in Chicago, and moved to Italy at age ten. She lived there for more than twenty years, attending dental school in Rome. While in dental school, her passion for orthodontics and pediatrics took root, and she became a teaching assistant to the head of the Orthodontics, with whom she co-published numerous articles in national and international journals. After practicing in Rome for one year, she decided to move back to the States in 1999, despite the need to go back to dental school. Graduating from the UIC dental school in 2002, she then completed a one year internship with the Department of Orthodontics. She absolutely loves her job, adores her patients, and truly enjoys coming to work everyday. Dr. Petrosino is the proud mother of 2 year old Tessa and she loves reading, traveling, and eating!

Dr. Garry Grygotis, D.D.S.
General Dentist

Dr. Garry Grygotis is originally from New Jersey, but he has lived in the Chicago area since 1974. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry and Rutgers University. He served in the United States Navy and is a Vietnam War Veteran. With years of experience he is extensively trained in full mouth rehabilitation, which encompasses implants, fixed and removable bridges, complete dentures, and cosmetic techniques, including veneers and bonded tooth-colored restorations. Since graduating from dental school he has been taking continuing education courses to keep abreast of the latest treatment modalities and technology.

Dr. Michael Cullinan, D.D.S.
General Dentist

After Dr. Michael Cullinan graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1969, he served in the United States Army as a dental officer for 4 years. Returning to Chicagoland he began private practice and established the Family Dental Center in 1980 dedicating it to providing dental care with excellence, integrity, and compassion. This center has grown from one general dentist providing patients with the most advanced, comfortable and personalized dental care to several general dentists as well as specialists. Attuned to providing the "latest" in technology and care for his patients, Dr. Cullinan is an avid reader and frequently attends educational seminars. Dr. Cullinan is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. This father of three and grandfather of six resides in Glenview with his wife. Though he "officially" retired in 2008, Dr. Cullinan can still be found at the Family Dental Center on occasion, ensuring that the practice he created more than 30 years ago is staying true to its original mission: uncompromised patient care and treating every single patient with the highest degree of compassion and empathy.

Dr. Larry Zager, D.D.S.
Oral Surgery

Dr. Larry Zager graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1979. He went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Cook County Hospital in 1982. His professional memberships include the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Dental Anesthesiology. His philosophy of care is to employ the latest techniques of pain management into every single procedure he performs. Recognizing that most patients are absolutely mortified when they have an appointment for oral surgery, Dr. Zager does everything in his power to complete the procedures painlessly. Dr. Zager is the proud parent of three adult children and enjoys dancing with his wife in his free time. He claims to have been born with two left feet, but through rigorous training at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio he's obtained some fairly impressive moves !

Lilianna G. Wrzosek
Dental Hygienist

Lilianna G. Wrzosek has been with the Family Dental Center as a dental hygienist for more than 8 years. She reviews each patient's periodontal health with them personally. She communicates with patients in an understandable and professional manner providing patient education and materials. She performs scaling, root planing, and polishing for designated patients. Numerous patients comment on the thorough and gentle prophylaxis she provides.
